The Third Sector has published an online checklist for not for profits to ensure they comply with the ATO’s tax exemptions.  In the lead up to the financial year end it is a worthwhile checklist for providers to review.  

Product Safety Australia (PSA) has reported that the number of accidents involving mobility scooters between '06 - '08 was 442 hospitalisations from fall, and for '00 to '10 62 fatalities.

The Australian Government is call for not for profit organisations to make application for grants for volunteers.   Funding of $16 million is available to eligible not-for-profit community organisations to assist their volunteers and encourage volunteering.
