Conference Call for Papers Closes 3rd September

The Call for Papers for concurrent sessons at the 'Embracing Change in Community Care' conference close on Friday 3rd of September.  The Conference will provide a unique opportunity to share new initiatives or learnings with the community care sector.  All providers are encouraged to submit a paper for consideration.  The key themes for the concurrent sessions are

Conference Program - Speakers Confirmed

A preliminary program has been drafted with a range of keynote and plenary speakers to invited to participate.  Confirmation has been received from a number of plenary speakers - including

  • Mr Ian Hardy AM, Chief Executive Officer, Helping Hands SA;
  • Mr Ian Yates AM, Chief Executive, Council on the Ageing
  • Mr Michael Goldsworthy, Principal Consultant, Australian Strategic Services

The Conference Committee is awaiting final confirmation of our exciting keynote speakers - more news later on these speakers in future editions.

Conference Committee Established

The 'Embracing Change in Community Care' Conference Committee has been established and is finalising the program and reviewing abstracts for the current sessions.  The Committee will be meeting monthly to plan and manage the Conference.  Thanks to committee members for giving their time to support this exciting event.

HACC Conference - Embracing Change in Community Care

It is with pleasure that the Department of Health via CommunityWest Inc. invites you to be part of the speaking program for the 2010 WA Home and Community Care (HACC) Conference. The conference is funded by the HACC Program. This exciting event will be held on 8th & 9th December at the Burswood Entertainment Complex. This first time event is expected to attract around 600 delegates from WA with a small number of delegates from interstate.

The Conference Organising Committee invites submission of papers relevant to the Conference theme. These will be considered for 20 - 25 minute presentations in the concurrent sessions.   Download Call For Papers document .
