The Workforce is the Home and Community Care sector’s most valuable asset. The skills, knowledge and commitment of the people employed to work in HACC is a major factor in determining the quality of support provided to HACC clients and their carers.

For HACC service providers to ensure they have the right people with the right skills at the right time, requires effective Workforce Planning and Development strategies. 

The Workforce area of the website contains a large selection of information, tool kits, and other practical resources to assist service providers to plan for their future workforce needs, recruit and retain staff, complete a Training Needs Analysis, and to prepare Training and Development Plans for their organisation or service, as well as individual staff.

The Training and Workforce Development Team are able to provide help and advice to support service providers through these processes.

The Training area of the website provides access to the comprehensive list of funded training opportunities available to support the core skills and knowledge development of staff employed by HACC funded service providers to work in HACC services.
